On Wednesday, September the 12th, an Asian boy was brutally beaten by a group of British boys. This incident took place in London. There is no specific detail provided regarding the issue which led to this scuffle, however, it would be safe to say that the child is being bullied on the basis of being an outsider, and not “one of them.”
Many Asian students overseas come across bullying on and off campus to the extent that their survival becomes extremely difficult. Such cases of bullying give birth to problems such as identity crises, poor performance in class, deteriorating mental health and failure to be a part of an evolving society. Only when the British government takes measures to assure that their youth is not growing up to be bullies, and is capable of accepting others for their differences, will they evolve to become a nurturing and progressive society.
