Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday came down hard on the government claiming it would fail to complete its tenure as it was not fit to run the country, Express News reported.
Addressing the media in Islamabad, he said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s incompetence would not remain hidden for very long. He added that all parties must come together to pass a resolution that the PTI-led government is unable to run the affairs of the country properly.
Drawing National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal into his firing line, Zardari said, “I don’t want to say anything against him [Iqbal], but I find it interesting how power changes people”.
He added that even a little authority can alter the thought process of such people to the extent they are unable to handle it.
Zardari further added that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) never benefited him as all the old cases have now been reopened against him.
