PM Khan: Shehbaz’s name for PAC chairman unacceptable

ISLAMABAD – A session of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf’s Parliamentary Board was called in Islamabad today by Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Important decisions came under discussion including the matter of the chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

PTI’s Parliamentary Board has decided that Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif’s name is unacceptable for the chairmanship and that PTI will ask PML-N and other opposition parties to give a new name for the said position.

Traditionally, the Opposition Leader has been the Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) but this PTI-led government has decided otherwise.

According to details, it has been decided that since Shahbaz Sharif has NAB cases on him so such important duty cannot be handed over to him.

In the same meeting, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been assigned the task of discussing this with Opposition Parties to convince them for coming up with a new name.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) was also discussed during the high level meeting.
