Chinese & Russian president visited Expo center with PM Imran Khan

Mr Xi Jinping, the Chinese President and Russia PM visited Paksitan Pavilion at China International Import Expo in Shanghai. They were welcomed by the Prime Minister Imran Khan, members of the Cabinet and CM Baluchistan.

Furthermore, along with President Xi were the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

Secretary Commerce Mohammad Younus Dagha directed the notables about the subject of the Pavilion which portrayed five significant trade sectors of Pakistan.

He elaborated that the Pakistani textile industry hires 38 per cent of industrial labor with 8.5 per cent share in GDP and form more than 70 per cent of our exports with leather and made-ups, for many international products. The fastest growth has been in the apparels sector which provides work to females.

He additionally stated that Pakistan has the opportunity of not only having the widely celebrated sportsmen but also has the distinction of competing in quality and captivating the agreements for supply of sports items for leading brands and prominent events. The past two FIFA world cups including the one this year in Russia were played with footballs which were manufactured in Pakistan. Younus Dagha uttered that with the spectacular archeological locations of the world’s oldest society in south and the meeting point of the three majestic mountain ranges known as “the roof of the world” in the north, the tourism sector in Pakistan provides several chances to the shareholders in the hospitality segment.

Imran Khan’s administration is focused on refining the strategic agenda to attract more funds in the industrial sector in order to maximize our trading capability.
