Railway officer: Impossible to work under Sheikh Rashid

Mohammad Hanif Gul, a Grade-20 officer, said in his application letter that he finds it impossible to work with Sheikh Rashid, who is a coalition partner of PTI government. “With due respect it is submitted that the attitude of the new Minister is extremely nonprofessional and ill-mannered. As an Honorable member of the Civil Services of Pakistan, it is not possible for me to work under him,” read the letter being circulated on social media. • The JUI-F chief has submitted his nomination papers as a candidate fielded by the PML-N and other opposition parties. • Former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur appeared before a joint investigation team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad to record their statement in a multi-billion rupee money laundering and fake bank accounts case open against them. • The district police officer (DPO) of Pakpattan who had reportedly pulled over Khawar Maneka – former husband of first lady Bushra Imran – four days ago has been transferred. On August 23, it was reported that a police team led by DPO Rizwan Omar Gondal briefly intercepted Khawar’s car after he didn’t stop when signaled by the police to do so. Khawar was also believed to have misbehaved with the officials. The officer was later directed to visit Maneka Dera, Khawar’s residence, and tender an apology to him for intercepting the vehicle.
