• PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali was on Thursday declared the runner-up from the NA-108 constituency of Faisalabad after a vote recount that he had requested after losing the July 25 election.
Ali, the former state minister for water and power, had requested a recount after he lost the election to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Farrukh Habib by 1,211 votes.
• Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Shah Farman lost the PK-70 (Peshawar V) constituency to Awami National Party’s (ANP) Khushdil Khan after a recount on Thursday.
The former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa information minister lost the seat by a margin of 187 votes. Farman had bagged 14, 648 votes to Khan’s 14, 871 in the July 25 polls.
• An All Parties Conference (APC) presided over by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif and attended by the representatives of several political parties, decided that members of all political parties will take oath.
The representatives of several political parties were missing as the joint opposition held another round of All Parties Conference (APC) at former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq’s residence.
