Protesters block roads against ‘rigging’

The workers of JUI-F on the call of their party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman blocked the main highways to protest the alleged rigging in the 25 July general elections.
The protesters blocked Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway at Swabi Interchange, Karakoram Highway in Battagram and Indus Highway in Bannu and Lakki Marwat to vehicular traffic.
The protesters also blocked Peshawar-Dir and Swat Highway at Pul Chowki in Malakand and Peshawar-Torkham Road in Khyber tribal district. The hours-long blockade of the main highways hit hard the passengers as hundreds of vehicles remained stranded and waited for reopening of the roads.
