Army Chief presided Core Commander’s conference

RAWALPINDI – Army Chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday, held a Core Commanders Conference at GHQ Rawalpindi where important matters of national security and overall regional security were discussed.

All collective matters of national security were observed. Major ones being the fencing on Durend’s line. (The boarder between Pakistan and Afghanistan) Reports say that almost 70% fencing has been completed. It was decided in the Core Commanders Conference that Pakistan Army will continue to strive for sustainable peace in Pakistan and the region as it has done before. The recent cease fire violations by Indian forces on the line of control (LOC) were also discussed. In this recent wave of cease-fire violations, many civilians living on the Pakistani side of LOC were affected. On the current political situation in the country, the Core Commanders Conference led by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has stated their policy of supporting all state institutions for rule of law and the writ of state.
