Pakistan’s well-known actor, Sultan Rahi died on 9th January, twenty two years ago.
Today marks the 22nd death anniversary of a legendary lollywood actor, Sultan Rahi. He was amongst Pakistan’s most well-known actors and the country still remembers him for his immense roles in Pakistani films.
Sultan Rahi initiated his acting career in 1959 as an extra in the Baghi and in 1975 he became an action hero for the admirers of Punjabi films.
A few of his major triumphs consist of Maula Jatt, Sher Khan, Chan Veryam, Kaley Chore, Godfather, Basheeraa and Wehsi Gujjar.
He stayed the most admired Punjabi film hero from the 1970s and 1980s. During his acting career, he performed in more than 850 Punjabi and Urdu-language flicks and was named in the Guinness Book of Records as the most productive actor. His films received diamond, platinum and silver jubilee awards.
The actor was killed in 1996 while travelling from Lahore to Islamabad by thieves who attempted to rob him and his friends. The actor died at the age of 58.
