OPDs closure pains patients as YDA protest continues

The closure of outpatient department (OPDs) amid protest of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab against alleged harassment of lady doctor at Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan has entered third day on Monday, has caused great deal of inconvenience to the patients and their attendants leading those affected due to strike to stage protest by blocking Ferozepur Road.

The hapless patients have been suffering owing to protest as reports were received that hundreds of scheduled operations and surgeries were postponed in the wake of YDA strike.

Moreover, thousands of patients were left unattended in OPDs and indoor wards.

Earlier, YDA has been on protest mode in parts of Punjab against harassment of lady doctor at the infirmary.
