IK starts preparations for formation of govt at Centre

• Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday started preparations for formation of his party’s government at the Centre after the PTI won a majority of seats in the National Assembly.
The PTI is also working to form its government in Punjab and for this purpose it has started contacting leaders of different parties and independent candidates.
• The army and police have clashed with supporters of Zimbabwe’s opposition MDC Alliance who took to the streets amid allegations that the ruling Zanu-PF party rigged Monday’s presidential and parliamentary vote.
On Wednesday, parliamentary results indicated that President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Zanu-PF was heading for a big majority, while the presidential result still remained to be declared.
The MDC Alliance says its presidential candidate, Nelson Chamisa, won Monday’s election.
• As the property boom in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) continues, investors are starting to look for new and lucrative niches to target. The student accommodation market has barely been exploited at all in the region, with the exception of Poland, but the growing number of international students combined with the outdated existing accommodation mean there is high potential to develop this segment.
