China: Wingsuit flyers jump from a 1000 feet

Wingsuit flying is a sport of flying through air while wearing a wingsuit which adds surface area to the human body to allow a major upsurge in lift. A competition took place in China, Jinggu by the name of “Wings of Love” in which 27 wingsuit flyers participated from 9 countries. Flyers showcased their remarkable skills. They jumped off from heights up to 1000 m and flew at a speed of 200 km/h. According to the instructions, the closer to the bull’s eye they landed, the higher would be their score. Team China got second place and was followed by Team USA. “We’re more than happy. It’s the third time we participated in this event, and also the third time to win. It’s a hat trick for us,” stated a participant representing France.The highlight was the flying formation which took place at night, as a way of welcoming the New year. All the prizes received will be donated to local disadvantaged children
