Army chief signs death warrants of 11 hardcore terrorists

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday confirmed death sentences awarded to 11 hardcore terrorists, who were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism.

A statement issued by the military said that these terrorists were involved in killing of 69 persons including 49 civilians, 20 Armed Forces and Police Officials – while a further 148 people were injured in the attacks.

“Arms and explosives were also recovered from their possession. These convicts were tried by special military courts. Besides, 4 convicts have also been awarded imprisonment,”the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
