ISLAMABAD – PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s stance on corruption has always been known. Even after winning the July General Elections of 2018, Imran Khan restated his zero tolerance stance on corruption.
Ex-Chief Minister KPK, and the current Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak has been deemed involved in a corruption and misuse of power and authority case by NAB.
According to details, Malam Jabba illegal lease scandal is about to resurface again as the NAB authorities say that they have completed their investigations in the matter.
Sources say that NAB has recommended to file a reference against then Chief Minister KPK and the current Defence Minister, Pervaiz Khattak.
In the same case, Prime Minister’s principle secretary Azam Khan is also involved. The proposed reference will include Azam Khan in it as well.
NAB has completed their investigations of the matter and they will push it in front of NAB’s executive board. The board will then approve of filing a reference on the case.
Accoring to details, the land lease of Malam Jabba was given illegally. The total land area bein 275 Acres, 270 Acre of which was supposed to be a resort and the rest 5 acres for a 5-star hotel.
Pervaiz Khattak is supposedly involved in mending rules and misusing his powers and authority as Chief Minister and had given the said land on a 35-year lease.
Sources say that NAB has found solid proofs on the matter and it is very likely that a proper reference against the Defence Minister, Pervaiz Khattak shall soon be filed.
