Sania Mirza Crashes again, but this time it’s the patriarchal culture.

Controversies are a major part of a celebrity’s life, some learn to handle the art of it and some ends up getting in more trouble. Recently, Sania Mirza has been the talk of the town for many and it has surely not been because of “I-support-Indian-Team-over-Pakistani” argument whereas, it is because of her child that she is expected to give birth after few days.

On being asked from the media about her child, to which Sania mentioned, “I would love to have a girl as my first child”. Sania has always been supporting and advocating for the feminist movement. Sub-continental society is full of chaotic thoughts in regards to women rights. Sania has been courageously brave enough to share her thoughts, she claims that it is important for the society to educate themselves and understand about women’s equality. Sub-continent society is absurdly biased towards supporting the notion of giving birth to a boy instead of a girl.

Sania Mirza has spoken out with a heavy heart and showed her emotions. She claims that it is important for our society to celebrate the birth of a girl as enthusiastically as of a boy. She had been upset with how she is always asked about what she wants as a first child. It’s annoyingly frustrating to see how our society celebrates the birth of a boy with all their conviction and love in comparison to a girl.

Sania Mirza has taken a firm stand against the misogynistic thoughts, and she wants to make her contribution to the society by trying to eradicate a patriarchal culture. It goes without saying that Shoaib Malik himself is an example of a progressive man, and it is evident enough how he supports the notion of equality and justice. It will be fair to assume that Shoaib believes in the importance of equality.
