Pakistan cricket team collapsed at 348 after a steady start by Azhar and Asad Who scored centuries. The later batsmen couldn’t produce runs and the team collapsed at 74 runs lead.
There is no such thing as “normal cricket” when it comes to Pakistan. A test match that began with a fantastic foundation for Pakistan when they came to bat against New Zealand turned around in the most predictable but unpredictable manner. Azhar Ali, the finest when it comes to test cricket, scored a century with Asad Shafique at the other end. The partnership built after Pakistan lost 3 quick wickets. Azhar Ali lost his momentum at the score of 138. This was Azhar Ali’s test century and the first test century against New Zealand. In the mean time, Asad Shafique also managed to score a century, a beautiful moment and one would think this is it. Pakistan is safe. But no. there will always be a drama. After Azhar Ali, Asad Shafique lost his wicket and then began the epic collapse of team Pakistan. A team which was all stable and expected to take a convincing lead collapsed from 3 wickets to all out at just 62 runs.
What’s the future for us? Our bowlers came on when New Zealand began its second innings. Two quick wickets were claimed, a much needed pressure relief but how far can we go from here? Let’s watch tomorrow.
