ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the Federal Cabinet today and talked about Afghan Peace Process and Pakistan’s role in it.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he has been saying this for the past fifteen years that the solution of Afghan Crisis can only be achieved through peaceful talks.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he is very happy that the whole world has now seconded the PTI’s stance over Afghanistan. He also said that special assistant to US Government, Zalmey khalilzad and his delegation has also accepted the fact and has appreciated Pakistan’s military and political contribution in the Afghan Crisis.

We will continue to support the Afghan Peace process and we always should have been doing this instead of acting on the ‘DO MORE’ policy.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Kartarpur Sahab Corridor was an initiative that was taken in good faith and as a massive gesture of goodwill to the Sikh Community. Its very sad to know that it has been politicised to this extent in India through Indian media and their right wing platforms. Indian leadership should realise that only through peace, we can achieve a better future for our upcoming generations.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that I have been advocating talks and peace negotiations for solving Afghan crisis for past 15 years and I’m very happy that the whole world has now accepted that stance and is working on it.
