After a setback in the first test against New Zealand in UAE, Pakistan made a phenomenal comeback and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the credit goes to the greatest ever Yasir Shah who bagged 14 wickets in the test match, winning the match by an innings and 16 runs for Pakistan. Yasir “Messi” Shah not only won the match for Pakistan but he also leveled the record of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the greatest captain of his time, when he took 14 wickets in a test match.
In the first innings of the second test match against New Zealand, Yasir took 8 wickets, destroying the Kiwis at the score of only 90 runs. From there on, Pakistan made New Zealand follow on. On the fourth day of the second test, Yasir Shah took another 6 wickets, bagging 14 wickets in the test match.
The jubilant team made a stunning comeback in the second test where not only bowlers but even the batsmen played a major role. Haris Sohail scored a century and Babar Azam scored his test debut century.
Yasir Shah definitely had a last laugh. He made his impact in the afternoon session. If you go by the cricket history, very few bowlers have managed to continue control on two consecutive days and Yasir Shah did so. While he sits on the 14 wickets throne, having the company of Imran Khan himself is quite an honor for our adorable Yasir. We wish him all the best for the third test and congratulate him once again for such a stunning performance.
