Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the current Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs talked about Pakistan’s struggle in the fight against terrorism over the last 70 years. Ever since Partition, Pakistan and India have been outgrown the tension due to the issue of Kashmir. Its been more than 70 years, but both nations have not been able to resolve the issue in a systematic way.
Recently, Kutarpur Corridor was initiated by Pakistan and it showed how PTI as a government has been able to promote the idea of peace and harmony. But, India didn’t happen to show any flexibility and the tension remains the same between both nations. In response to Kurtarpur Corridor, Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi showed trust and hope for a better future between both countries.
Further, Qureshi highlighted that how the issue of Kashmir is a delicate and sensitive issue for both nations. He added, “India and Pakistan can benefit each other economically, and it is important for both nations to realize that the issue of Kashmir can be resolved through the process of a systematic dialogue”.
Well, Pakistan has been fighting against the terrorist organizations ever since one can recall. India should show some flexibility towards Pakistan and should come upfront to build friendly relations. Right now, the government of India has shown a lot of resistance due to which peace and prosperity couldn’t be restored between both nations.
